Hi! I am Priv.-Doz. Dr. Farzad Tashtarian, a researcher at the Department of Information Technology (ITEC), University of Klagenfurt. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad. Before joining ATHENA, I was an Assistant Professor at Azad University, Mashhad Branch, Iran.
Research
My research focuses on multimedia networking, adaptive video streaming, Quality of Experience (QoE), edge/cloud-assisted media delivery, and low-latency communication systems. In recent years, my work has increasingly focused on immersive media, Media over QUIC (MoQ), and AI-assisted multimedia streaming systems.
